Sneaky way scammers are targeting travelers this summer, report says

As if summer travel wasn’t stressful enough. In the midst of headache-making fuel prices, inflation hitting popular summer hotspots (looking at you, Europe) and long waits at airports all over, there’s a new worry that summer travelers can add to their list. Sneaky scammers are reportedly posing as airline customer service reps through fake phone numbers that appear online, according to a report from Consumer Affairs. It’s human nature to want to call the airline one is traveling with after getting notified that an impending flight is delayed or canceled.
