Slight increase in Maharashtra discharge due to rains

The discharge of water from Maharashtra slightly increased after continued rains in Maharashtra and Belagavi on Sunday (August 2). The discharge was at around 1,23,238 cusecs, 704 cusecs more than the discharge on Saturday (August 1).Inflow into the Lal Bahadur Shastri reservoir on the Krishna river in Almatti was around 1,21,500 cusecs, with an outflow of 1,30,000 cusecs. The dam has 94.5 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 123 tmcft.Inflow into the Raja Lakhamagouda dam on the Ghataprabha was around 19,330 cusecs, while outflow was 1,706 cusecs. The dam has 34 tmcft against the full capacity of 51 tmcft.The inflow into the Malaprabha dam was 4,862 cusecs while the outflow was 1,194 cusecs. It has around 12 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 37 tmcft.Meanwhile, irrigation
