Six arrested for attention-diversion theft in Langer Houz
ACP Tolichowki Syed Fayaz presenting the accused before the media on Monday (August 17). | Photo Credit: By Arrangement The Langer Houz police arrested six persons involved in an organised attention-diversion theft and recovered 13.5 tolas of gold ornaments, ₹7.4 lakh in cash and two vehicles.The case was registered on August 1 based on a complaint by Dama Mohan, 71, a retired SBI bank manager from Humnabad in Bidar district, Karnataka. The theft took place near a restaurant in Langer Houz. The stolen property comprised four gold bangles weighing seven tolas, three gold chains weighing three tolas, a gold locket weighing 1.2 tolas and three gold rings weighing 2.3 tolas, totalling 13.5 tolas.The six accused were traced at Shah Ghouse near Tolichowki at around 12.12 a.m. on August 16.
