Sitakunda shipyard toxic gas death toll rises to 10

The death toll from toxic gas exposure at Ferdous Steel Ship Recycling Yard in Sitakunda upazila, Chattogram, has risen to 10, following the death of another injured worker at a private hospital in the port city last evening.The deceased was identified as Idris Ali, 42, from Jamalpur. He breathed his last at around 6:00pm while undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at National Hospital.Idris had been fighting for his life in the ICU since August 14 morning, when the tragic accident took place inside a scrap vessel at the yard in Bhatiari union.
