Siddipet Police launch ‘SHE SAFE’ initiative on Rajiv Rahadari to create safe spaces for women travellers

The Siddipet Police have launched ‘SHE SAFE’, an initiative aimed at improving safety for women and families travelling along Rajiv Rahadari by identifying and developing secure stop points on the highway.Siddipet Police Commissioner Rashmi Perumal on Friday launched the initiative, which seeks to designate hotels, fuel stations and other establishments, along the highway as ‘SHE SAFE’ zones after they meet specified safety standards.Under the initiative, establishments will be recognised as safe zones only if they provide facilities including secure parking, quality food, clean washrooms, CCTV surveillance, adequate lighting and trusted staff.The Commissioner personally inspected several locations along Rajiv Rahadari and reviewed the existing facilities.
