SFI, DYFI seek withdrawal of cases against student protesters
The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), Visakhapatnam district committees, on Saturday (August 01, 2026) condemned the alleged police action against students who protested at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Addressing a press conference, SFI district president P. Sai Teja and DYFI district president U.S.N. Raju alleged that false cases had been registered against student leaders, including SFI All India joint secretary Aishe Ghosh, following the protest. They demanded immediate withdrawal of all cases against the protesters and sought criminal action against the Delhi Police personnel allegedly involved in the assault. They also reiterated their demand for the repeal of the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. Published - August 01, 2026 07
