Serial shoplifter with more than 160 convictions jailed for cleaning product raids

William Mann, 50, has been jailed for eight months after admitting a spate of shoplifting and threatening behaviour at stores in Barrhead, Clarkston and Thornliebank. The sheriff branded his record of more than 160 previous convictions “utterly astonishing” and said only a custodial sentence was appropriate.
