SCR renews 135 km of track, completes 20 RUBs this year to boost safety

South Central Railway (SCR), which now comprises the Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded divisions covering 3,605 route km, has undertaken track renewal works over 135.22 km and completed 20 road underbridges (RUBs) since April this year to further strengthen operational safety.Addressing Independence Day celebrations, SCR general manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava said the zone had been honoured with the National Signal and Telecommunications (S&T) Award for Best Zonal Railway in recognition of its pioneering contributions to the development of Kavach and digital interlocking systems.Highlighting infrastructure achievements during the current financial year, he said the tripling of the Asifabad-Sirpur Kaghaznagar section had been completed, marking the completion of the Kazipet-Balharshah tri
