Scottish airport is first to make 'major change' to toilets for passengers with medical condition
The charity hopes more airports with follow this example.14:21, 06 Aug 2026Updated 14:26, 06 Aug 2026Aberdeen International Airport has become the first Scottish airport to make a major change to its facilities so travellers' experiences are more comfortable. Teaming up with charity Colostomy UK, the team hope other airports will follow in Aberdeen's footsteps.In a recent upgrade, Aberdeen Airport has made all of its accessible toilets and baby change rooms stoma friendly. In doing so, people who are living with a stoma will hopefully be able to have some extra peace of mind while travelling through the airport.In line with Colostomy UK's Stoma Friendly toilets guidance, a total of nine toilets have been made stoma friendly.
