Dubbed by Neil Young the Jimi Hendrix of acoustic guitar, this week’s Icon influenced a host of rockers and popsters including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Johnny Marr, Paul Simon, Donovan, Pete Townsend, Devendra Banhart, Pete Doherty, Bernard Butler and Beth Orton.
