Scotland's deficit narrows to £25.3bn but gap with UK widens, GERS shows

Scotland's notional deficit fell to £25.3 billion in 2025-26, with revenue rising 6.9%, but the gap between Scotland's finances and the UK's widened as Westminster's deficit improved at a faster pace.
