Russian FIDE Chief Steps Aside After EU Sanctions Over Ukraine

FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich has suspended his duties after the EU sanctioned him over actions linked to Russia’s occupation of Ukrainian territory. Former world champion Viswanathan Anand will serve as interim president.
