Russian Anti-War Politician Ends Political Campaign After Pressure from Kremlin

Russian opposition politician Boris Nadezhdin has withdrawn from the September State Duma election after authorities blocked his campaign, labeled him a “foreign agent,” fined him over alleged extremist symbols, and restricted his movements. Nadezhdin said mounting pressure made it impossible to continue legally without putting his supporters, campaign team, and family at risk.
