Russia Threatens Apple With $50M Fine Over Kremlin-Backed Messenger

Russia’s anti-monopoly agency has threatened Apple with a 4 billion rubles ($49.7 million) fine for not fully complying with its demand to remove foreign search engines by default and pre-install Kremlin-sanctioned digital services. The company previously took down one such messenger from its marketplace in June.
