Russia seeks arrest of Telegram chief Durov
Russia’s FSB has issued an international wanted notice for Telegram founder Pavel Durov, accusing him of “complicity in terrorism” by allowing the platform to be used by Ukrainian security services to recruit young Russians for sabotage and attacks. Moscow claims dozens of Russians were contacted through a banned Telegram dating bot and pressured to target police and infrastructure. Telegram and Durov declined to comment on the allegations.
