Russia’s Supreme Court Bars Yabloko, Only Pro-Peace Party, From Upcoming Elections

Russia’s Supreme Court removed the only liberal party, Yabloko, from the upcoming State Duma elections in September, after granting a lawsuit filed by the nationalist Rodina party on Monday, Aug. 10. Hundreds of Russian citizens gathered outside the courthouse, protesting the ruling.
