Russia rebukes Japanese ambassador in Kuril Islands row

Officials at Russia's foreign ministry warned Tokyo's emissary over the status of the Kuril Islands on Tuesday, after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi affirmed sovereignty in response to Russian leader Vladimir Putin's visit to the disputed territory.
