Russia has temporarily halted commercial shipping through the critical Kerch Strait and Don-Azov Canal following large-scale Ukrainian drone attacks targeting its maritime logistics. The suspension comes after Ukraine struck over a dozen Russian vessels, heavily targeting Moscow’s sanctioned “shadow fleet” of oil tankers. The strikes continued into Saturday, July 11, with drones hitting four vessels, including a methanol tanker, in the Gulf of Taganrog.
