Russia Approves State-Funded IVF for Widows as Birth Rates Hit Historic Low
Russia’s State Duma has approved state-funded fertility treatment for women whose husbands died fighting in Ukraine. Beginning Dec. 1, eligible widows may receive IVF or artificial insemination for five years after their spouse’s death, provided they do not remarry.
