RU removes artwork after criticism over 1971, 2024 portrayal

Rajshahi University (RU) authorities have removed an artwork from an exhibition marking the July Mass Uprising following criticism over its depiction of the 1971 Liberation War and the 2024 uprising.Prof SM Kamruzzaman, administrator of the university’s Public Relations Office, confirmed the removal this morning.“The picture was withdrawn in the morning. The problem arose because the artworks had not been reviewed beforehand.
