Rs 20cr revamp for Delhi World C'ships: Double-door entries and monkey whisperers

The Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi has undergone major upgrades and innovative measures to ensure a smooth BWF World Championships, returning to India after 17 years. Pigeons and monkeys, not the feathers of a shuttle, captured headlines during the India Open in January. After that chaos, organisers have installed double doors, noise machines, and bird-repellent gel, while a dedicated four-man team of monkey whisperers stands as the last line of defence.
