Rozetka Co-Owner Estimates Destroyed Warehouse Losses at $70M, Contents Not Included

A Ukrainian distribution center near Kyiv belonging to top retailer Rozetka was destroyed in a Russian strike on Aug. 5. Co-Owner Iryna Chechotkina said the warehouse was worth $70 million for her company, with billions of hryvnias more in lost inventory. Noting that insurance companies cannot cover losses of this magnitude, she called on the government to grant tax deferrals to help affected businesses recover and rebuild.
