THE landscape of Donegal football changed dramatically in the years between Rory Kavanagh’s two Irish News All-Star awards. Both years they reached Ulster finals, with two very different outcomes.In 2006, Kavanagh earned a spot in the half forward line after Donegal had competed in the provincial decider against Armagh at Croke Park, losing out by three in the end.Fast forward to 2012 and Kavanagh added a second Ulster title to the one picked up 12 months previous, only this time, he helped his county end a 20-year wait for an All-Ireland title.
