Romanian utilities group Electrica registers 7.7% higher EBITDA in H1 2026
02 September 2026 The Electrica Group, a major utilities company in Romania, registered a 7.7% increase in EBITDA in H1 2026, reaching RON 1.07 billion, compared to RON 1 billion achieved in the first half of 2025. The increase in EBITDA mainly comes from the variation in the supply segment, which had a positive evolution in the first six months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to the company press release. As such, the variation in the supply segment recorded an EBITDA improvement of RON 122.8 million, up to RON 181.3 million from RON 58.5 million in the previous period.
