Romania among EU countries with highest fuel price increases

Romanians paid, on average, 23% more for fuel in June 2026 than in the same month of 2025. Data showed that, in June 2026, the price of fuels and lubricants for personal transport in the EU increased by 13.7% compared with June 2025. In April 2026, the increase compared with the same month of 2025 was 20.8%, and in May it was 20.7%.
