Richard Gere's Connecticut estate was demolished, but its 1938 library survived

Richard Gere's former New Canaan estate was demolished after its sale last year. The historic 1938 manor was replaced by plans for nine luxury homes. A salvage team rescued architectural elements before the demolition occurred. These salvaged items included libraries, mantels, and doorways for resale.
