RGUHS warns nursing and AHS colleges against charging extra fees
A view of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bengaluru. | Photo Credit: File photo The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has directed all affiliated Nursing, Allied Health Sciences (AHS) and Physiotherapy colleges not to collect any amount beyond the government-prescribed fees during the admission process.As per the State government order, the fee for nursing courses should not exceed ₹10,000 per annum for government quota seats, and ₹1 lakh for management quota seats for Karnataka candidates and ₹1.40 lakh for non-Karnataka candidates.However, complaints filed by students allege that colleges are charging up to ₹50,000 in excess fees for government quota seats.
