Revenue inspector, village officer caught taking ₹14,000 bribe in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught a Revenue Inspector and a Grama Palana Officer while accepting ₹14,000 bribe in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district for facilitating the registration of a land.The accused were Vemuganti Purnachander Rao, Revenue Inspector, Alair mandal, and Shaik Ahmed, Grama Palana Officer of Kolanupaka village in the same mandal.According to the ACB, Purnachander Rao demanded bribe from the complainant for issuing a report to the Tahsildar to facilitate the registration of land sold by the complainant’s sister. He allegedly accepted the amount through Ahmed.The ACB officials of the Nalgonda Range caught Purnachander Rao during the operation on July 24 and recovered ₹14,000 from Ahmed at the former’s instance.The bureau said that the accused officers had perform
