Police were called to an incident on Sandy Lane in the Spotland area on Monday afternoon (July 6).A woman, aged in her 50s, was later arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and taken into custody. She was later bailed pending further investigations.Posts about the incident were shared on social media also claiming that a local school had been put on 'lockdown' and wrongly suggesting there had been a stabbing.
