Report journos in strike threat over Ranucci replacement

An internal union meeting of journalists at premier Rai investigative journalism show Report on Monday declared a work-to-rule and said they were ready to strike in a bid to get the state broadcaster to reinstate the programme's host, Sigfrido Ranucci, who has been outed over his controversial friendship with a former Berlusconi extortion convict who bombed the presenter's home outside Rome last year in a purported bid to get his friend's police escort expanded.
