Repatriation process on to bring back Kallakurichi woman subjected to harassment in Kuwait

A woman from Kallakurichi district, who was stranded in Kuwait after allegedly facing abuse while employed as a domestic worker, has safely reached the Indian Embassy. The repatriation process was initiated after videos of the woman seeking help went viral on social media.According to official sources, the woman identified as A. Anitha of Oorangani village near Sankarapuram in the district reportedly went to Kuwait a few months ago for domestic work through an agent. In a video released recently, Anitha alleged she had been subjected to various forms of harassment over the past two months while working in Kuwait.
