Nestled along a scenic coastline, the settlement was singled out for its beautiful white sandy beaches and a unique cave that is the largest of its kind anywhere in Scotland.‌On Monday, August 17, WorldAtlas published a list of the 10 best towns in Scotland for a two-day recharge. One of the destinations that was included on the experts' roundup of the top getaway spots is the tiny village and civil parish of Durness in the northwest Highlands.‌Durness is situated in a remote area of Sutherland, and is renowned for its rugged coastal scenery and beautiful beaches. WorldAtlas praised Sango Sands and Balnakeil Beach
