Rare maxillary tumour removed from seven-year-old boy at government Dental Hospital in Chidambaram

Doctors at the Cuddalore Government Dental College and Hospital successfully performed a “rare and complex surgical procedure” on a seven-year-old boy diagnosed with a Giant Cell Granuloma, a rare tumour-like lesion of the upper jaw.According to a press note, the boy’s family approached the hospital with a progressively enlarging swelling of the upper jaw, with complaints of difficulty in breathing, eating and mobility of the teeth.Following detailed clinical examination and investigations, the medical team diagnosed a Giant Cell Granuloma of the maxilla.
