The coin represents the first occasion motorsport has been featured on one of its official UK coins.‌The Grand Prix in Britain 50p has been created in partnership with London-based agency Interstate. The "tails" side of the coin illustrates the breadth of Grand Prix heritage and technological advancement, showcasing a vintage racing car from the inaugural 1926 Brooklands race positioned next to a 2026 Formula 1 car.‌Rebecca Morgan, director at The Royal Mint, said: “For 100 years, the Grand Prix in Britain has captured the nation’s imagination, from the thundering engines at Brooklands to the wheel-to-wh
