Rams' Ty Simpson could be waiting a while to take over for Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford just won MVP, so it's obvious he's playing at the top of his game. There's no reason for the Los Angeles Rams to turn to rookie quarterback Ty Simpson this season, unless Stafford gets injured, of course.But, it's largely been thought that Simpson might take over for Stafford after this season. Even though Stafford is firing on all cylinders and playing great football, at 38 years old, he's getting up there for a player in the NFL. With the Rams scooping up Simpson in the draft, it appeared to be a clue that they believe their days with Stafford are numbered.But, not so fast.
