Putin Avoids Sochi for Record 322 Days Amid Drone Threat

Russian President Vladimir Putin has gone 322 days without a public visit to Sochi, according to the Russian independent outlet Agentstvo. Putin previously visited the resort city at least twice (but, up to over two dozen times) a year, but skipped his usual spring trip in 2026. The outlet linked the change to increased Ukrainian drone activity and reported that visits to Sochi by other Russians have also declined.
