Probe body to be formed over Sitakunda gas poisoning incident: Finance minister

Army helping manage the gas exposure 4 MIN(s) UPDATED 3 MIN(s) Photo: Star A probe committee will be formed to investigate the incident where eight workers were killed in suspected toxic gas exposure at a shipbreaking yard in Chattogram's Sitakunda, Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said this afternoon.He said further action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation committee.The minister made the remarks while visiting an injured worker undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital around 3:45pm on Friday.“The gas exposure has become difficult situation to manage. The army is working to bring the situation under control,” he said.
