Presidential drone contest opens

By Chen Yun and Jake Chung / Staff reporter, with staff writer Add TT as Preferred Source The government yesterday started accepting applications for upcoming contests in the Presidential Cup Drone Competition, which highlights drone operations and engineering using components not made in China to help grow domestic talent and manufacturing capabilities. The competition aims to serve as a platform attracting investment, engineers and drone pilots, Presidential Office Secretary-General Pan Men-an (潘孟安) told a news conference in Taipei. The showcase event is on Dec. 25 at the International Convention Center Tainan. Registration for some events has already begun, and some competitions, including the drone soccer tournament, would be held before the showcase, although the showcase would featur
