President Mirza Fakhrul begins official duties at Bangabhaban

Newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today received his first ceremonial salute and held his first official engagements at Bangabhaban after taking charge.A smart contingent of the Bangladesh Police's horse-mounted team welcomed the president on his arrival at Bangabhaban at 11:00am and escorted him to the Credential Field.A smartly turned-out contingent of the President Guard Regiment (PGR) then accorded him a guard of honour as part of the welcoming ceremony.
