Power Division dismisses claims of excessive bills, warns against 'misinformation'

The Power Division today warned of strict legal action against individuals or groups spreading what it termed "false information" about unusually high electricity bills.In a statement, the division said some individuals or groups had recently been carrying out a campaign over alleged excessive electricity bills and strongly protested against what it termed "misinformation".It said all complaints received so far regarding excessive electricity bills had already been resolved by the Power Division and the electricity distribution companies."There is therefore no scope for spreading misinformation or confusion on this issue," the statement said.However, the division said customers who have complaints about unusually high electricity bills may submit applications, along with supporting documen
