Portuguese scientists call for urgent reclassification of the Iberian rabbit to halt extinction

An international scientific study concluded that the Iberian Peninsula is home to two rabbit species, not just one, proposing the "urgent reclassification" of the Iberian rabbit as a "distinct species" to prevent its extinction, as revealed today by BIOPOLIS/CIBIO, University of Porto.
