Portugal surpasses Spain as Europe’s second-largest footwear producer

Portugal has reinforced its position as one of Europe’s leading footwear manufacturers, overtaking Spain to become the continent’s second-largest producer behind Italy, the World Footwear Handbook 2026 revealed.
