Portugal is betting on destruction of Asian hornet nests in Coimbra district

The Cantanhede Municipal Civil Protection Service destroyed 793 Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) nests in 2025 and has already eliminated 163 nests, both primary and secondary, between January and June of this year, it was revealed.
