Polish Police Arrest Suspect in Attack on Ukrainian Woman

Police in the Polish city of Gdynia arrested a 76-year-old man on Saturday, Aug. 1, in connection with the July 30 assault on a 40-year-old Ukrainian woman. The suspect allegedly struck the victim twice on the back of the head with a wooden cane before fleeing. The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and discharged. Regional police stated there is currently no evidence linking the attack to national hatred.
