Police race to M61 as car left crushed following crash with three injured

Three people were taken to hospital following the incident.‌Fire crews along with police and paramedics were called to the collision, involving two vehicles, on the southbound carriageway between junctions three and four.‌Pictures from the scene showed a number of police vehicles in attendance following the crash.
