On Tuesday, September 1, a man in a balaclava was seen riding a Sur-ron bike on the pavement of Leyfield Road, narrowly missing a woman who was forced to move out of its way on Alder Road in West Derby.‌A Merseyside Police spokesperson said officers in a patrol car followed the bike and "made slight contact at low speed to remove the suspect from the Sur-ron" on Blackmoor Drive.‌They added the suspect attempted to flee on foot before he was detained shortly afterwards and the Sur-ron was seized at the scene.
