Police cordon off Everton road after 'suspicious object' found inside car

Around 9.50pm on Sunday, August 9 police stopped a vehicle on Heyworth Street due to the "manner of driving", the force said.‌Officers spotted a "suspicious" object inside the vehicle and a cordon was put in place as a precaution. The object has now been checked over and determined to be non-suspicious, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said.‌A 37-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of obstructing/resisting a constable in execution of duty.
