Police arrest two youth for ‘sexually assaulting’ woman

A 40-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by two youth at Vambay Colony on the outskirts of Vijayawada a couple of days ago. The incident came to light on Saturday after the woman lodged a complaint with the police.Nunna Circle Inspector (CI) Ahmed Ali said the two youth, who were in inebriated condition, allegedly raped the woman. The accused have been taken into custody.A case has been registered under Section 70 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and investigation is under way, the CI said.
