Poland Maintains Long‑Term Legal, Financial Protections for 1.7 Million Ukrainian Refugees

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Poland has provided legal and financial protection to 1.7 million Ukrainian refugees, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported. According to the ministry, an unprecedented 77% of Poles actively participated in helping Ukrainian refugees, with 7% taking them into their own homes. The total amount spent by Polish society to support their Ukrainian neighbors has exceeded 10 billion zlotys ($2.7 billion).
