PG medico succumbs to injuries 3 days after being hit by car

A 28-year-old medical student, pursuing postgraduation at GSL Medical College in Rajamahendravaram, passed away on Friday, three days after doctors declared her brain-dead. Hospital officials confirmed that she died on Friday afternoon at a private hospital in Hyderabad.Dr Kanike Priyanka, originally from the Kurnool district, had started her first year of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) program in February 2026.The incident occurred around 10.00 p.m. on August 3 when Dr. Priyanka was riding pillion on a two-wheeler driven by her friend.
